Graduate in screen writing at the National Film School of Denmark, 1996. Horsten has written a number of scripts including the short fiction film TEIS AND NICO (Danish title: BROR, MIN BROR - Henrik Ruben Genz, 1998). TEIS AND NICO received Best Short Film award at the Berlin Kinderfilmfest and the Chicago International Children's Film Festival in addition to a number of other awards. Co-wrote and directed the short fiction film TILBAGE TIL BYEN / GOING BACK HOME (2000), which received an award for Best Short Film at Odense International Film Festival, and KIKSER (a.k.a. FLOP) (2000). Subsequent film credits include LILLE FAR / LITTLE DADDY (2003), and OP MED HUMØRET / CHEER UP! (2005). Writing credits include KALDER KATRINE (1993) and A MURDER MYSTERY (1995).  Nominated for Achievement in Live Action Short Films 1999: BROR, MIN BROR (TEIS AND NICO) - Producer (w.
