Graduated from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ ('71). American businessman and filmmaker. Owner of the Somerset Patriots independent minor-league baseball team, and a number of auto dealerships in Flemington, NJ. In addition to his nominated films, Kalafer and his Flemington Pictures production company also co-produced Mark Osborne's DROPPING OUT (2000), Chuck Braverman's BOTTOM OF THE NINTH (2001), Mark Benjamin's "Going Home" (2004, TV), Marc Levin's PROTOCOLS OF ZION and Philip De Fiore's STRANGER: BERNIE WORRELL ON EARTH (both 2005), and Peter LeDonne's THE DIARY OF IMMACULEE and James Ponsoldt's OFF THE BLACK (both 2006).
