Kong is president of Zoom Hunt International Productions Co., Ltd., and discovered and produced the first feature films of Ang Lee, Tsai Ming-liang and Lin Cheng-sheng. He served as chief of section, Department of Broadcasting Affairs, Government Information Office, Republic of China and was President and Vice-Chairman of Central Motion Picture Corporation. He entered Taiwanese film with WAWA / A PIGGY TALE (1991).
