James Moultrie

James Moultrie was the project manager, lead mechanical engineer and industrial designer for the range of Cooke 'S4' prime lenses. He received a Scientific and Technical Academy award® in 1999 and a Prime Time Emmy® award in 2000 for work on these lenses, which combine leading optical and technical performance with outstanding ergonomics and aesthetics. James' first degree was Mechanical Engineering, which was followed by an M.A. in industrial design and an M.B.A. (distinction).

In 2000, Moultrie left the optics industry and joined Cambridge University as a Research Fellow. He has since gained his Ph.D. and is currently active in researching and teaching product design and design management.
