Stacey Sher is president of Jersey Films. She joined the company as executive vice president in 1992 and was promoted to president in 1993. During her tenure, she has also executive produced the award-winning PULP FICTION (1994) and the comedy REALITY BITES (also 1994), and was the producer of Jersey's FEELING MINNESOTA (1996).
Sher received an MFA from the prestigious Peter Stark Graduate Program at the University of Southern California School of Film and Television. She began her career as director of development at Hill/Obst Productions in 1985 and was promoted to vice president of production in 1987. After serving as associate producer on HEARTBREAK HOTEL (1988) and THE FISHER KING (1991), Sher became senior vice president of Lynda Obst Productions in 1991. The following year, she joined Danny DeVito and Michael Shamberg at Jersey Films. Other notable producing credits include GATTACA (1997), OUT OF SIGHT and LIVING OUT LOUD (both 1998), MAN ON THE MOON (1999), DROWNING MONA and ERIN BROCKOVICH (both 2000), THE CAVEMAN'S VALENTINE and HOW HIGH (both 2001), CAMP and "Other People's Business" (TV) (both 2003), ALONG CAME POLLY and GARDEN STATE (both 2004), BE COOL and THE SKELETON KEY (both 2005), WORLD TRADE CENTER (2006), FREEDOM WRITERS and RENO 911!: MIAMI (both 2007), PARTY BOYS (2008), and NO TRUE GLORY: BATTLE FOR FALLUJAH (scheduled for release in 2009). Sher serves on the Board of Directors of the Producer's Guild.
