Born in Philadelphia, PA. Mike Tollin is a director as well as producer of both feature films and television. SUMMER CATCH (2001)starring Freddie Prinze, Jr. and produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions, marked his feature directing debut.

An Academy Award® nominee and Peabody Award winner for his documentary HANK AARON: CHASING THE DREAM (1995), he also directed the award-winning film HARDWOOD DREAMS (1994), narrated by Wesley Snipes. Tollin served as producer on READY TO RUMBLE (2000), THE SHOW (1995), GOOD BURGER (1997), the hit film VARSITY BLUES and HARDBALL (2001), all directed by Brian Robbins.

Tollin has been honored with three Emmy® Awards, as a producer and director. He served as an executive producer of the WB hit one-hour drama "Smallville," and the HBO comedy "Arli$$." He was co-creator and executive producer of Nickelodeon's "All That," and also executive-produced and co-created the channel's "Kenan & Kel," "Cousin Skeeter" and "The Amanda Show." Other TV series producing or executive producing credits include "What I Like About You" (2003-06) and "One Tree Hill" (2004-08).

Tollin's recent film producing credits include SUMMER CATCH (2001, also director), RADIO (2003, also director), THE PERFECT SCORE (2004), COACH CARTER and DREAMER: INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY (both 2005), NORBIT, WILD HOGS and UNSTRUNG (all 2007), and TULIA (scheduled for release in 2009).

Tollin is a founding Board member of Children Now.
