Born in Wellington, NZ. Writer and producer who began in New Zealand television with the series "Worzel Gummidge Down Under" (1986). Other writing credits (alone or in collaboration) include MEET THE FEEBLES (1989), BRAINDEAD (1992), HEAVENLY CREATURES and JACK BROWN GENIUS (both 1994), THE FRIGHTENERS (1996, also assoc. producer), THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy (2001-2003, also producer), KING KONG (2005, also producer), and THE LOVELY BONES (also producer) (scheduled for release in 2009). Walsh's additional producing credits include HALO (scheduled for release in 2009) and THE HOBBIT (announced for 2010). She has been married to Peter Jackson since 1987.
