theOscarSite Bio: British comedy writer and performer born in Cardiff, Wales. He often collaborates with Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris and has worked with Stewart Lee and Richard Herring. Entered UK television as a writer for the series "Friday Night" (1992). Other TV credits include "The Day Today" (1994), "The Saturday Night Armistice" (1995), "I Am Alan Partridge" (1997), "Steve Coogan: The Man Who thinks He's It" (1998), "Jam" (2000), "Brass Eye" (1997/2001), "Big Train" (1998/2002) and "I Am Not an Animal" (2004). Baynham was the writer and star of the famous Pot Noodle ("It's not leafy - it's too gorgeous") TV commercials, and he collaborated on the screenplay of BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN (2006).

Baynham was also in the Merchant Navy in his teenage years, and is perhaps the only comedian licenced to pilot a supertanker. He graduated from Fleetwood Nautical College.
