Educated at University of Colorado (B.A. 1991) and Columbia University (M.A.: SIPA, 1997). Documentary filmmaker who produced and directed CHILDREN UNDERGROUND (2001) and who was associate producer of ANTHEM (1997). Other recent producing/directing projects include GYMNAST (2005), which follows the top three American female gymnasts for two years before -- and two years after -- the 2000 Olympics, TIME PIECE (2006, segment: "Bobby's Tale"), and AN AMERICAN SOLDIER (2008), an examination of the US Army's recruitment techniques. Belzberg was selected as a MacArthur Fellow in 2005.
