theOscarSite Bio: Born in Dublin, Ireland, she is a graduate in archaeology and history from University College, Dublin. After she graduated, she trained in set and costume design at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin. After that she did a post-graduate diploma in textiles at West Surrey College of Art and Design.

Boyle entered British television as costume designer for the 1983 series "The Irish R.M." Her film costume credits include ATTRACTA (1983), ANNE DEVLIN (1984), THE WOMAN WHO MARRIED CLARK GABLE (1985), RAWHEAD REX (1986), THE COURIER (1988), DECEMBER BRIDE (1990), BROKEN SKIN (1991), INTO THE WEST and THE PLAYBOYS (both 1992), THE SECRET RAPTURE (1993), WIDOWS' PEAK and THE SECRET OF ROAN INISH (both 1994), NOTHING PERSONAL (1995), MARY REILLY, THE VAN, MOLL FLANDERS and TROJAN EDDIE (all 1996), THE SERPENT'S KISS (1997), LOVE AND RAGE and THIS IS MY FATHER (both 1998), THE WINSLOW BOY and ANGELA'S ASHES (both 1999), CATASTROPHE, NORA and WHEN BRENDAN MET TRUDY (all 2000), THE ABDUCTION CLUB (2002), THE ACTORS (2003), ASYLUM and IMAGINE ME & YOU (both 2005), THE QUEEN (2006), and CHURCHILL AT WAR (2008).
