Adam Clayton
(1960 -     )

Born in Chinnor, Oxfordshire, England. Clayton lived in Kenya for a short time when he was around two years old. He moved to Ireland when he was five. His father was a pilot for the airlines. Adam's mother was friends with Edge's mother. Adam was sent to boarding school and was expelled, whereupon he was sent to a school in Dublin -- a progressive school because it was nondenominational -- he met Paul Hewson (aka Bono). In the beginning, he was U2's manager. He plays bass for the band and is the band's oldest member.
