Born in Dunedin, New Zealand. Costume designer who began in Australian television with the TV movie "The Rainbow Warrior Conspiracy" (1989). Feature film costume design credits include RUBY AND RATA and USER FRIENDLY (both 1990), MY GRANDFATHER IS A VAMPIRE (1991), CRUSH and THE RAINBOW WARRIOR (both 1992), JACK BE NIMBLE (1993), HEAVENLY CREATURES (1994), PEACH (1995), YOUNG HERCULES (1998, video), THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING (2001), THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (2002), THE LAST SAMURAI and THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING (both 2003), WITHOUT A PADDLE (2004), THE ILLUSIONIST and BLOOD DIAMOND (both 2006), and FOOL'S GOLD and THE INTERNATIONAL (both 2008). She designed for several TV series, including "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess."
