The Edge

Born David Evans in Barking, Essex, England. When he was 2 he and his family moved to Dublin. He was brought up there and over the years became a musician. He learned how to play the guitar and the piano. In 1978 he became the guitarist and keyboardist of U2. He is still in the group who have conquered the musical world since the late 1970s.

The band's songs have been used in THEY CALL IT AN ACCIDENT (1982), CAPTIVE (1986), FEARLESS (1993), REALITY BITES (1994), BATMAN FOREVER (1995), GOLDENEYE (1995), NO MAPS FOR THESE TERRITORIES (2000), LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER (2001) and GANGS OF NEW YORK (2002).

In March 2005, U2 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
