Born in Brighton, Sussex, England, Sean Ellis moved to London to work in fashion photography and did style shoots for The Face, Arena, and Vogue. After his 1998 Brit Award-winning video for the All Saints' hit 'Never Ever,' Ellis directed several commercials and music videos. Ellis wrote and directed the short LEFT TURN (2001), which was produced by Ugly Duckling Films and Ridley Scott's RSA Films and aired on television channels worldwide. CASHBACK (2004), his second short, has won the top prize at four of the six festivals at which it has screened and was nominated for an Oscar®. A feature-length adaptation of CASHBACK was released in 2006, and his feature film BRØKEN premiered in 2008.
