In 2005, Mark Engebretson has joined QSC Audio Products, Inc. as Vice President of R&D, Chief Systems Architect, becoming responsible for the upper-level technical management of QSC's three core product groups: power amplifiers, loudspeakers, and digital systems. Engebretson came to QSC from JBL Professional, where he led the Northridge, CA-based company's R&D department.
Prior to JBL, Engebretson guided operations at Summit Laboratories, an audio and acoustical measurement facility specializing in sound system design. Other career highlights listed on his resumé include time logged as Vice President of Product Development for Altec Lansing, and VP of R&D for Paramount Pictures. In March 2002, Engebretson received a Scientific and Engineering Award as part of the 74th Academy Awards® for the concept, design, and engineering of the modern, constant-directivity, direct radiator style motion picture loudspeaker systems at JBL with John Eargle and Don Keele.
