Received his Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, where he studied documentary with acclaimed filmmaker Marlon Riggs. His documentary film THE WEATHER UNDERGROUND premiered at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and aired on PBS in the spring of 2004. Green's previous documentary, THE RAINBOW MAN/JOHN 3:16 premiered at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival and screened at festivals worldwide, winning the Grand Prize at the USA Film Festival in Dallas and Best Documentary awards at the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the New York and Chicago Underground Film Festivals. Green currently lives in San Francisco and teaches at the University of San Francisco. He was an artist in residence at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the Marin Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito.
Green's recent short films include N JUDAH 5:30 (2004) and LOT 63, GRAVE C (2006).
