Born in Bremen, West Germany. Ulrike Grote studied acting from 1985-1989 in Hamburg. She performed as an actress at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus and in numerous television series and films. Since 2000, she has been an instructor at the Academy of Music & Theater in Hamburg. From 2002-2004, she completed post-graduate studies in Film at Hamburg University. Student film projects include HIMMELFAHRT and PUSTEFIX (both 2003) and AUSREIßER / THE RUNAWAY (2004).
