Dan Hennah

Born in Hastings, New Zealand. Studied architecture at the Wellington Polytechnic School of Architecture. Production designer, art director and set decorator who entered New Zealand film as a production assistant for PRISONERS (1981). Art direction credits include NATE AND HAYES (1983), THE RAINBOW WARRIOR (1992), THE FRIGHTENERS (1996), THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy (2001-2003), KING KONG (2005) and THE WATER HORSE: LEGEND OF THE DEEP (2007). He was art director of the white water unit for WHITE WATER SUMMER (1987), and he was assistant art director for THE LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT (2003). Production design credits include MESMERIZED (1986), CUMULUS 9 (1992), "Adrift" (1993, TV), "Return to Treasure Island" (1996, TV), the TV series "A Twist in the Tale," "The Legend of William Tell," "The Tribe" and "Treasure Island" (1996-1999), THE LAUNDRY WARRIOR (2008), and UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS (scheduled for release in 2009).

Hennah is married to art department manager/coordinator Chris Hennah.
