Born in Philadelphia, PA. Formerly a commercial rock DJ on WYSP FM, Philadelphia. Nominated for an Academy Award® for producing IN THE BEDROOM (2001), he had three films in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2002, he opened a production company, Elemental Films. Prior to becoming a producer, he entered American film as a set production assistant for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. He assisted in the production of RESERVOIR DOGS (also 1992, grip), SENSE AND SENSIBILITY (1995, ass't to Ms. Doran), THE ICE STORM (post-production assistant) and THE MYTH OF FINGERPRINTS (post-production supervisor) (both 1997) and HAPPINESS (1998, post-production supervisor). His producing credits include TRICK (1999), IN THE BEDROOM (2001), THE LARAMIE PROJECT (2002, exec. producer), LOST IN TRANSLATION (2003), MARIE ANTOINETTE (2006), "Taking Chance" (2008, TV), and an untitled road movie scheduled for release in 2009.  Nominated for Best Picture of the Year 2001: IN THE BEDROOM - Producer at Good Machine/GreeneStreet (w.
