theOscarSite Bio: Langan graduated with a BA in English Literature from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, in 1987. After working as a business and advertising copywriter, and then as a freelance magazine journalist and cinema critic for Radio 2's "Cinema Two", her first job in television was as development assistant at British Screen, working with Tessa Ross. She then script edited for Granada Drama Serials in Manchester; and moved to Granada Television's Comedy department in 1993, where she developed the hit show "Cold Feet". Other television producing/executive producing credits include "Rescue Me" and "I Saw You" (both 2002), "Watermelon" and "The Deal" (both 2003), "Dirty Filthy Love" and "Lie with Me" (both 2004) and "The Last Hangman" (2005). Her last project at Granada was THE QUEEN (2006).

Langan joined BBC Films in September 2006 and is now developing a new slate of films.
