Born in Adel, GA. Actor who entered American film with DRIVING MISS DAISY (1989). He has appeared in several feature films and a number of TV series, mini-series and made-for-television movies. He wrote and directed the short film THE ACCOUNTANT (2001) which was produced by his wife, actress Lisa Blount. They shared their Oscars® with producer Walton Goggins.
McKinnon's subsequent writing and directing credits include CHRYSTAL (2004) and RANDY AND THE MOB (2007).
