James' The Children of Men, Mark Fergus & Hawk Ostby have collaborated on 12 scripts over the past decade, including the thriller CONSEQUENCE (2003) for HBO Pictures as well as adaptations of Philip K. Dick's "A Scanner Darkly" and Edgar Rice Burroughs' "John Carter of Mars".

Ostby and Fergus wrote IRON MAN (2008) for Marvel Studios, directed by Jon Favreau. Fergus made his directing debut with their original screenplay FIRST SNOW (2006), released by the Bob Yari Film Group. The psychological thriller starred Guy Pearce, Piper Perabo, William Fichtner and J.K. Simmons.
