Pasvolsky is one of Australia's hottest emerging film talents and is currently finalising the script on his first feature film. But it took an honours course in film at the AFTRS and three shorts at film school before people realised that his star was on the rise. The defining moment in his career came with his film INJA (2001), which earned him two AFI nominations and a run at international festivals Sundance, New York and London. INJA then went on to win best student film at the Aspen Shortfest in April this year (2002) and, in June, won the St Kilda Film Festival in Melbourne for best film. Pasvolsky wrote and directed his first feature DECK DOGZ (2005), a skate teen action film for Bill Bennett's BJ Films. Pasvolsky was a judge and workshop presenter at the 2002 Sour Grapes.
