Set decorating credits include ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA (1984), DEATH WISH 3 (1985), "CROCADILE" DUNDEE (1986), MISSISSIPPI BURNING (1988), THE LONG WALK HOME (1990), A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT (1992), SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION and WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE (both 1993), NOBODY'S FOOL and I.Q. (both 1994), BEFORE AND AFTER and THE CRUCIBLE (both 1996), CITY OF ANGELS, THE HORSE WHISPERER and THE SIEGE (all 1998), IN DREAMS (1999), UNBREAKABLE (2000), THE SHIPPING NEWS (2001), THE HUMAN STAIN and THE LAST SAMURAI (both 2003), THE LIFE AQUATIC (2004), MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA (2005) and THE GOOD SHEPHERD (2006).

Ms. Rau died of a brain tumor 24 days after receiving the Best Art Direction Oscar® with John Myhre for their work on MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA.
