Jamie Selkirk has performed several functions in the production of Peter Jackson's THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, serving primarily as co-producer on all three films. For the first two films, THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING (2001) and THE TWO TOWERS (2002), he was also supervising editor.

Prior to his work on the RINGS trilogy, Selkirk has collaborated with Peter Jackson on the majority of his films, first as editor, sound editor and post production supervisor for BAD TASTE (1987), MEET THE FEEBLES (1989) and HEAVENLY CREATURES (1994). With Jackson's BRAINDEAD (1992), Selkirk made the move to associate producer/editor and then to producer and editor on THE FRIGHTENERS (1996). Selkirk's other credits include THE LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT (2003), WASTED (1998), LARGER THAN LIFE (1997), FORGOTTEN SILVER (1995), JACK BROWN GENIUS (1994), THE LIE OF THE LAND, BATTLETRUCK, THE SCARECROW (1982), WILD HORSES, THE SILENT ONE (1984), and KING KONG (2005).

Selkirk's career in editing started at the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporations. He moved to editorial as a trainee editor and began cutting newsreels, current affairs, documentaries, and dramas. Before his foray into production, Selkirk formed his own post-production company, Mr. Chopper, and worked on a variety of productions and television commercials.
