Dana Adam Shapiro is a former senior editor at Spin and a contributor to The New York Times Magazine and other publications. His first novel, The Every Boy, was published by Houghton Mifflin in 2005. His first film, MURDERBALL, won the American Documentary Audience Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Shapiro wrote and produced the animated short MY BIODEGRADABLE HEART (2007).
