theOscarSite Bio: Born in Kyoto City, Japan. Sculptor and special makeup designer who entered Japanese film with 1989's SUITO HOMU (SWEET HOME). Other notable makeup credits in the US & UK include CRITICAL CARE (1997), LIFE and WILD WILD WEST (both 1999), DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (2000), PLANET OF THE APES (2001), MEN IN BLACK II and THE RING (both 2002), THE HAUNTED MANSION (2003), HELLBOY (2004), THE RING TWO (2005), CLICK (2006), NORBIT, I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK & LARRY and ENCHANTED (all 2007), and TROPIC THUNDER, YOU DON'T MESS WITH ZOHAN and THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON (all 2008).
