Documentary and short subject filmmaker who entered Hollywood films as an underwater photographer for SAMARANG (a.k.a. SHARK WOMAN) in 1933. Woodard directed insert shots for KING KONG (also 1933, uncredited). He also shot THE RIVER (1938), and, with his brother Horace Woodard, produced CITY OF WAX and BORN TO DIE (both 1934), and edited Frank Buck's FANG AND CLAW (1935). In 1938, they made ADVENTURES OF CHICO.
