Kathleen "Bird" York

York is an actress and a critically acclaimed songwriter and recording artist. She has two records in release, the self titled "Bird York" and her recent release, "The Velvet Hour". She has written songs for films such as CRASH (2004), HAPPY CAMPERS (2001), NEVER GET OUTTA THE BOAT (2002) as well as television shows such as "Nip/Tuck," "Everwood" and "Jake 2.0." She has acted extensively in television series and TV movies, including a recurring role as Andrea Wyatt on "The West Wing" (2000-06). York's feature film credits include PROTOCOL (1984), WINNERS TAKE ALL (1987), ASTRONOMY (1988), CHECKING OUT and COLD FEET (both 1989), FLASHBACK and I LOVE YOU TO DEATH (both 1990), WILD HEARTS CAN'T BE BROKEN (1991), CRIES OF SILENCE (1993), DREAM LOVER (1994), DEAN MEN CAN'T DANCE (1997), THE BIG DAY (1999), CRASH (2004), and BALL DON'T LIE and FOOTSTEPS (both 2008).
